  These are generally not used for use with home tanning beds, as they require wiring and are not plug and play. Universal transformers are designed to be used with tanning beds that do not have a plug, such as larger commercial equipment (32 or more lamps). 24 to 32 lamp beds with recepticals that plug in the wall should use the other style transformers. These are adjustable for many different voltages, up or down, and should be professionally installed and hardwired to both the bed and the incoming power supply.
